Win XP doesn't remember passwords ???

I have installed win XP pro on my new laptop.
But I have problems with the system doesnøt remember my passwords, and this is all internet passwords, even when I say Yes to remember the PW.

BUT the worst is that Outlook, my mailSW, even when I have ticked the box in the email accounts, "remember the pw" it doesn't..
I have never seen this problem before - I have checked if the outlook files is readonly, but no.
So now I lost and every time I have to check my email I have to type the password to every account.

Can anybody help me..

One thing to try in Internet Options, Content tab, AutoComplete and see if
the box to remember passwords in forms is checked. That might fix the
internet passwords, don't know about Outlook.

It sounds like you have your Internet
explorer\tools\properties\privacy - security set to
high , passwords are held in cookies and if your security
to high it wont allow the cookies to be used.

The above also applies to Internet Explorer and other applications that use the Protected Storage System Provider registry key to store passwords.
