win srv 2003 cluster Print Processor difficulties

Guest

Hi all,
I'm installing a HP 1022n to 2003 cluster. I have sucessfully installed to a
node and subsequently installed to the virtual server, but the later did not
install the required print processor (IMFPrint). Therefore all print outs
from the VS are garbage.

PrintMig doesn't get so far as to migrate the Print Monitors and Processors
required.

Guidence, suggestions, and solutions much appreciated.

update to SP1. Use Server SP1 to install the drivers to the virtual server.
XP remotely will not support this even when the fix included in Server SP1
is running on the server.

You receive an error message when you try to use the Add Printer Wizard to
add a printer to a virtual server that is part of a Windows Server 2003
cluster

if the fix in SP1 does not do the trick
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906752/en-us
You cannot install a printer on a cluster node to a Windows Server 2003
cluster

You will also need this hotfix for SP1
hotfix 905518 for viewing printers on the cluster from the non hosting node.

Hello Matthew,
How did you get the cluste to recognize that driver? I cannot get it to
install the driver on the virtual server...
