Win NT4 to Win2k server connection

We have acquired Windows 2000 server and for cost saving
measures we want to still use our old Win NT4 server due
to its FREE email services. How can we manage the
interconnectivity of these two servers. Does Win2k still
treat the Win NT4 as server? or just an ordinary
workstation. Im having problems in connecting Win NT4 to
Windows 2000 domain. I wanted that Win2k shall be the
gateway to the Internet and Win NT4 will just be the
Local/external Email server.

Please help me on this.

If the "old" NT 4.0 server is a PDC, unless you want to upgrade your domain
to Win 2k and AD, the Win 2k server can only be a member server of the NT
4.0 domain.
