Win installer pop up - grrr

When I got to open Excel a Windows XP Installer window pops up on the screen
to reinstall FrontPage (which works fine)... However, when I click cancel, it
gives an error message and won't let me into Excel.

How do I get the installer window to quit popping up so I can get into my
Excel files?
