Win Defender won't run automatic scans

I installed Win Defender last week, and set it to run an automatic scan at
6AM every day. It scans manually, but nothing automatically - it's been 5
days. I'm using XP Home, and downloaded the 32-bit version. What am I doing
wrong? I had the same problem with the previous beta version of Win Anti-spy.
