Win 98 to XP backup files

I installed XP over 98 and never plan on going back and IF I did I would just do a
complete restore to the way I purchased the system. Was just wondering where the backup
files of 98 are and if they could be deleted. I have a 6 GB drive with about 700 MB free
space left since going to and would like to reclaim some space from backup files I will
never use. I am about ready to just start deleteing some such as the c:\undo directory
which takes up 345 MB and several in the Windows directory with names like
$NtUninstallKB873333$

HELP

TIA

Look in Add/Remove Programs for an entry for Windows 98. If you chose to
save your Win98 files during the installation, there will be an entry
for it and you can uninstall that way. You might consider buying a
larger drive - that's a pretty small drive for XP and programs. Just be
careful that your older computer can handle larger drives.

I do not recall anything about saving 98 files.

As for size of HD I am finding out how small it is. Am seriously thinking about new
system and restoring this to factory setup with 98 and donating it to someone.

Thanks for help.

You're welcome. Sounds like a good plan. Have fun with your new machine!
