Win 7 (out of the box) less secure than Vista?

According to several opinions, professional or not, Windows 7 is supposed to
be less secure than Vista in its default configuration:

How true is this statement?
Personally I am a 'Vista' fan.

All that says is that it doesn't warn you if you have no anti-virus
installed. That's not at all less secure except to the extremely
ignorant person who doesn't know that everyone needs an anti-virus
program.

I read the same article -- it's BS! The UAC is not set to its highest level
(which is what most people wanted in Vista, but is easily changed) and no
blasting Antivirus warning, if you have none. The core system is as secure,
or more so, than previously. It's terrific.

Stick with Vista and the rest of us will use Windows 7. Windows 7 is easy
to configure unless you are a complete dolt. Like Alias.

You can bet your boots, Pap Smear, oops Pahp Shmir, that I will and, if you
love Win 7 so much, why are you here?
Where Alias is concerned, he is using Win 7 faithfully & effectively as I
understand it and without trying to defend him. But he is using a different
name when providing help.
Being a 'dolt' is more up your alley.
Have fun...

Harry.
