Win 2000 Pro

When the machine boots it hangs after the first 2000
screen (with the blue dots at the bottom ).When you
normaly get "Windows is statring" I get a blank screen
that will stay for over an hour. If I hit the reset button
it starts O/k with no further problems. Any ideas ????

Make sure all drivers are installed by right-clicking "My Computer" then
clicking on "Properties", "Hardware" tab and then clicking on "Device
Manager"

If you cant get to the normal setup press f8 at the win2000 screen and you
will get the recovery console. From there start in safe mode. If it boots
then it is more than likely a driver. use your sys info tool to see what
driver it might be. Or if you have installed something recently get rid of
it and see if it boots. If it does then there is you problem and goto the
manufacturers website and download the latest drivers.

see if you can down load newer drivers for your 2000
