Win 2000 and Symantec winfax pro v10.0

I want to be able to load winfax pro to my machine but it
won't let me because it tells me there is another fax
program installed; I assume that this is Microsoft Fax
Service for Win 2000. Does anybody know how I: 1)get rid
of Microsoft Fax Service or 2) Load winfax pro?

I do have office 2000 loaded but not the Outlook program.

On Win2K, you cannot uninstall Fax. You can disable the Fax Service.
