will outlook 2003 upgrade transfer outlook 2000 .pst files

When installing Office 2003 as an upgrade will Outlook 2003 pull in the .pst
files & settings from Outlook 2000, or should I remove Office 2000 and start
from a clean install with Office 2003

If you upgrade in place, Outlook will continue to use your same .pst file(s) and at least most of your settings.
