Will not run setup process after download

When i try to run the antispyware program from the saved
location on my desktop it starts the Install sheild Wizard
to guid me through the step by step setup guide and midway
through the upload bar the program shuts off. PLEASE HELP!

Similar problem here today.
Had to give my computer the Ctrl + Alt + Del command and
then shut down several programs the 'brute force way'
before I could get my computer to reboot and complete the
installation of antispyware program ~ which is now working
fine.

Hi, perhaps the problem is that you have some major spyware running in the
background, if so, download spybot and adaware free from www.download.com,
also enter your startup programs (msconfig in 98,me,xp) you can also
download msconfig.com from
http://www.techadvice.com/win2000/m/msconfig_w2k.htm and install it on your
win2k box. Clear any suspicious entries

,run spybot and adaware, go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and scan your
pc for viruses online, after your pc is clear of spyware and trojies,
download msanti-spyware again from www.technet.com and it should install w/o
delay.
