Will Not Boot

Hi,
I have two identical computers (Asua A7V600-X Motherboard, AMD Athlon XP
3000+ 333MHZ , Raid 1, 2 Seagate SATA 80 Gig Drives, 1 Gig Memory, Radeon
7000 video with 128Mbyteh) one running XP SP2 and the other running SBS 2003.
I also have 4 memory sticks (2 - 1 gig, 1 - 2 gig and 1 512Mb). If either
of the 1 gig sticks is in the XP computer, that computer will not boot. If
either the 2 gig or the 1/2 gig stick is in, then the computer DOES boot.
The SBS 2003 server works no matter which stick is in. Do you have any ideas
why we are having a problem with the XP machine?

Some systems are super-sensitive on memory modules. The general advice is to get memory of the same type (eg, parity / non-parity) AND from same manufacturer, AND hopefully from same batch run.
With the proviso that none of memory sticks have been damaged in any manner.

What (if any) is the difference between the 1 gig sticks & the others? (other than capacity, is it the speed or what? )

What is max mem capacity on the Asus board? It appears you have an abundance of memory. Why not just keep XP with what works, and put the remainder on SBS system?

I am afraid my explanation of the problem was really poor. The memory
sticks are really Cruzer mini drives. Basically, I can boot the SBS2003
server with any of them installed, but cannot boot the XP system if either of
the 1 Gigs drives installed. I can boot XP with either the 2 gig or the 1/2
gig.
