Wierd VPN issue.

I am using a Nortel Contivity 1010 VPN router to allow VPN access on
our network. Today when I tried connecting windows gave me "Error 691:
Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid on
the domain." Nothing had changed since yesterday. I connected to the
VPN device and changed/reset my password. This did not resolve the
issue. After trying a few more things, I changed my username on the
VPN device. This fixed the problem. Whenever I try to change my
username back to my original username (which is also my domain
username), I get this access denied error. Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm baffled.

your password to log into vpn should be the same as your network logon if you
change your network logon your vpn password will need to syncronise, for this
the best way is to go into the office and log into a docking station so that
both passwords/usernames will syncronise togeather
