Wierd Upload Problem

When you go there, you will see that the first pages buttons downloaded
fine. In the file manager, it does have a derived file.
Then go to about me... the gifs showed up with no overlay. No derived file
in manager came.
Next try fun stuff... no gifs, just ghosts. And again no derived file.
These are the only ones I've got linked so far.

I'm moving from bravehost to cjb, so these are already done pages, that I am
just copying over into a new FP web folder, and then uploading.

Can someone please help me before I toss my computer through the window.
None of it makes sense to me.

Thanks in advance,
CJ

web structure is wacky...do you know your root is browsable?...all files can
be seen.

How are you "copying" to the new folder.

Unless you "publish" from one location to another, files in the _derived
folder will not be moved.

I don't know what that means. <my root is browsable> Can you explain
further... and use baby words. I'm new at this. Thanks so much!!!

How do you publish from one web site in FP to another? I am pretty new at
this, and I can't find what you're talking about. Thanks for the help,

The root folder/directory of your website is browsable - a viewer can see
all the files:

http://cj_england.cjb.cc

I suspect you are not uploading your files properly

Open one web site in FrontPage - File->Open Web/Site and choose or
type in the site to open.
Log in (if necessary),
Then File->Publish and choose/type in the location of the site you are
publishing to, or (in FP2003) change the Remote Site Properties, if
necessary, to the site you want to publish to.

In FP2003, the site you opened first is the Local site, and the other
is the Remote site.

I am doing it the same way I did it before... following the same procedure
with FP. Any ideas on your end as to what is happening?

Well,,browse your root folder...does the structure look normal/the way you
want it to be? You don't have an index page so your entire root
folder/directory is open to view. Normally, your home page would be a index
or default page in the root. Is it intentional that your home page is in a
folder named "home"?

When you first uploaded your web did you follow your host server's
instructions on where to upload to?

I got it fixed. They said that it was a problem on their end, and I had to
add some code to hide it. All better now. Thanks for pointing it out!
