explain this to me...am at a loss
A7N8X-DLX rev 2.0 BIOS 1008
Barton 2500@11x200
3x256 OCZ PC3200EL GOLD
ATI 9600XT
SB Audigy 2ZS
2x120 MAx SATA in RAID 0
2-30 gig max B/U-Dual boot
Lite On 8x DVD-RW
Misumi 40x16x48 CDRW
Enermax456FM
Tt Volcao 11
periodically I have crashes..mainly while gaming...the system seems to lose
the RAID array but finds the 2nd XP install on the 30 Max..even doing a
repair and installing the 3112 drivers..does not find RAID. However..shut
system down for 10 min via off switch on PSU..refire and all is go...right
back on RAID???..am at a loss here..any ideas as to why? This is also a board
inflicted with the APIC issue...not able to install XP with it enabled..and
all ram at these settings passed memtset86

It sound slike your system is underpowered/unstable with its current power
supply unit.

would it help to remove the HD's from the 1 12volt rail and place it on the
MB/Vid rail?..these PSU's have a dual rail set up.

dino,
I would look deeper at the memory and CPU, before looking at the
Enermax(unless its old). Memtest86 is a good tool for checking the
validity of memory but it doesn't stress it enough for my likes, nor
does it use the Windows Environment. A good follow on test is Torture
Test in Prime95 from www.mersennes.org

mem is all good...replaced 1 stick a while ago under warranty..failed
Memtest 86...but I think it may have been latest omega drivers...it is the
last thing changed prior to the crashing..removed them all and backed down
so is a wait and see game now.Was to the point that after 1 map on MOHHA
Spearhead full lock-up...just finished 3 maps and np's (x-'s fingers)

Does the system behave with the CPU at standard speed? After all 11x200
is quite a boost for an XP2500.

so I have a few issues going on...backing down the Omega drivers for my
9600XT is one...memtest 86 is clear at 200x11 but Prime no go...at 166X11
prime runs..so this is strictly my OC'ng issue. Time to play more and find
the right settings...
