why won't text in first edit box print out?

My slides have 2 edit boxes. In the first one I have typed the name of the
group
I am identifying in each slide.
The 2nd edit box contains text as the "body" of each slide and inserted
pictures.

When I print out each slide, only the text and pictures prints out. The top of
the page, where the name of the group I am identifying in each slide does not
print. Does anyone know why?

Hi Mick,

which version of PowerPoint do you use? Are you printing on a black&white
printer? If so, some colored texts may not print well. With View -
Color/Grayscale switch to grayscale view. You can change the properties of
the text there without affecting how it looks in color view. If you defined
the color for the headline in the slide master, adjust the grayscale in
slidemaster view, too. Then switch back to normal view and try printing
again.

Best regards,
Ute

Hi Simon,
I am using Powerpoint 2003. And no, I am not printing to a B&W printer. I am
printing to a color printer. HP PSC 1500 All-In-One. So, your answer below
seems
to be for a B&W printer only. If so, what to do for a color printer?

If I am wrong, and your answer is not only for a B&W, I have tried it and
need to
know how to change the properties of the text after I go to grayscale view.
(But, again, this seems to be an answer for B&W printers, so am a bit
confused.)

Thanks,
mick

Simon,
I was able to print it out by changing the color of the Font from Pink to
Black- so
now know to do that when I print. I will change it back to the Pinkish color
when I
want to run the slide show.

Thanks for the info, but if you have any additional info - like why I needed
to do
that since I am printing to a color printer, I'd appreciate it.

Hi Mick,

my tipp was intended for a b/w-printer. I do not have an idea, what the
reason and solution could be for a color printer. If only pink is affected,
make sure that there is enough pink ("magenta") toner or ink in your
printer.

Best regards,
Ute
