why text only, no graphics on my in-coming emails?

I am using Office XP 2002 : Outlook 2002 SP3. My old HD crashed, I got a new
one
and reloaded all my SW. I had this same outlook installed before and it
worked fine. Now in outlook my incoming emails are text only with no
graphics, both in the preview pane and when I open them. I just want it back
like it was.
Thanks,
Happy Jack

Under 'Tools|Options|Preferences|E-mail Options', see if you have a checkbox
labeled "Read all standard mail in plain text". If you have this checkbox,
make sure it is UNchecked. This option is not available in Outlook 2000, is
available in Outlook 2003, and I don't remember if Outlook XP (2002) has it
or not.

Thanks Hal,
But I have no such box to check or uncheck. I've been looking and I figure
it has to be somewhere but I sure can't find it. Help! Because without the
graphics in the newsletters there are no links to the full articles.

Don't you already have a thread for this in another Outlook group? Please
don't multipost.

Hi Brian,
Yes, in the new users group. Sorry, didn't know people would get upset. I
just wanted to get my problem solved and did'nt know if I started in the
right group. I did check the rules and they say,

"multi-post: Adding the same post to more than one discussion group, one
discussion group at a time (so there is only one group listed in the header
of each post). Multi-posting is not recommended and should only be used if
you are prepared to track down each individual instance of your posts.

I am prepared to track my posts and I do want to get into the right group to
get the problem solved. I did'nt want to upset you or anyone else, I
appologize and I will not post in any other groups unless I don't get my
problem solved. Do you know of a better way to solve the problem I am having
or have a solution? Do people still look at problems after a week or two?

Thank you all, just got off the phone w/ MS support and problem solved.
Created new outlook profile, transfered data and dumped original profile. It
was corrupted somehow.

Thanks again,
Happy Jack
