why is my email sending out encrypted emails to my contacts?

My friends are telling me that they are receiving emails from me that are
encrypeted?

I am not sending them? They seem to follow or preceed emails that I send out?

Is this a worm? What can I do?

Do you have good antivirus software that scans mail? Have you run a full
scan? Have you talked to the people who manage your mail server? Have you
asked your friends to look at the message headers to see if the mail is
really from you?

NB: When you post in here, always include your version, SP level, and mode
(if applicable) of Outlook - you can find this information in Help | About.
Also include the type of mail account(s) you use and any other pertinent
details. Be sure to put a consise summary of your question in the subject
line, and the full details in the body of your post.

Answer Yes - I use mcafee and I also have spyware doctor
Have you run a full scan?
Answer Yes every day - and nothing shows up. Zero virouses. But I
understand virouses can hide from anti-virous ware.
Note that when I try to run the Mcafee VirusScan Outlook email scanner - it
is stopped some how/?? Not sure how to look into that or if this is related.

I don't have anyone that manages my server. I do.

really from you?
Answer: It looks like it is from me. It has my email address in to from
field, but it is italic. The text is just pages and pages of numbers and
letters.

Highly unlikely.

I suspect that they're seeing TNEF of MIME-encoded files. Make sure you're
not sending in Rich Text format.

Brian,

I checked my settings and I am sending in HTML.

Can you suggest anything else?

My friends don't want me emailing them any more until I fix my email, but I
don't know what to do to fix it???

Thanks for your help.

No need to post the same message so many times.

As an immediate work-around, try sending in Plain Text format. Then, you'll
have to experiment with an outside mail account (like Hotmail or gmail) and
see what the problem looks like from their end. I don't have any good way
to make suggestions on how to fix it without being able to see the problem.

Brian,

I will try your suggestion. I have changed my Mail Format to Plain Text. I
hope this fixes the problem.

Thanks
Laura
