Why in the world does Wordpad have no word count?

I send stuff to a work Outlook, and straight from Word, there's a space
between every paragraph. I send from Wordpad, and spacing's find. But I use
word count with 95 percent of what I send. I have to go to Yahoo for it to go
in smoother.

Yes, I know: cutnpaste and all. Just seems silly to have to do that.
