why i can not rec or send e-mails

I am a patient at a hospital an and recd am trying yo use my laptop . I had
been able to send and receive. Now for some reason it keeps telling me that
I am not connected to pop3. I can not figure out how to correct this problem.

That's not the complete or exact error message.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
