Why doesn't anybody help me?

I keep posting on problems with my taskbar in Windows 2000 and never get a
reply. The taskbar alphabetizes itself on every reboot (ignoring the order I
have set), deletes the My Documents toolbar, and shrinks the taskbar height
from 3 rows to 2.

Doesn't anybody--one of you registry gurus--have a clue what I should do? or
should I change my deodorant? Or what?

What happens if you logon as a new user? (create a new account in 'Users and

I gave a new [power] user (named, appropriately, "turkey") some icons and
arranged them in non-alphabetical order. I logged turkey off and back on.
Windows left the arrangement alone. Same order I left them in.

I rearranged administrator's icons in non-alphabetical order. I logged
administrator off and back on. Windows alphabetized its icons, as always.

So it only happens with administrator. That seems encouraging. How can I fix
it?

The profile may be somehow corrupt. Use the steps in this article to replace
the local administrator profile.
