why does this happen

When I am signed in MSN Messenger, then log into Windows
Messenger it tells me that I've been signed in another
located. Then it automatically logs me out of MSN
Messenger. This also applies vise versa when I'm in
Windows Messenger, then log into MSN Messenger.

Any ideas why this happens?

Hi,

You're trying to sign on twice.
First with MSN Messenger, and then after you're going to Windows Messenger.

When this happens, your MSN Messenger will tell you that you've been signed
in elsewhere because you're trying to log in with Windows Messenger, Windows
Messenger will then boot you off of MSN Messenger, because you're logging in
with the same Passport.NET.

You can sign in seperately using both products if you have two seperate
accounts. Or you'll continue to have this teeter-tooter back and forth
issue with both MSN messenger and windows messenger. You can just choose to
log in with one product and that'll fix it.
