Why does the color of my signature change?

I am using Outlook 2007 (but I think that it happens in 2003 as well) and
when I create a new message, my signature is black, but when I do a reply,
the signature is in blue. Is there a way that I can stop this from
happening?

Change the color of the reply font. Tools>Options>Mail Format>Stationery
and Fonts
