why does tha format$ and trim function no longer work in access

I have a data base developed in access 97, converted to access 2000 and now
I'm trying to convert it to 2003 but most of my reports queries and forms use
the Format$ or Trim function to display data correctly. I need to know how
to get around this problem.

This appears to be the very common References bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.

Thank You so very much that fixed the problem. I though I was either going
to have to revert back to Access 2000 or spend days making changes. This
make for a good holiday season.

Delighted to have been of help! I've seen that error enough that I've got a
stored answer - what you saw took two mouseclicks and maybe ten seconds, so
I'm pleased that it had such a beneficial effect!
