why does text box auto-indent after first line?

Andy

When I type text into a text box, the first line is fine but all lines after
it indent themselves automatically. To get the text back to the start of the
line I have to hit return at the beginning of the line, but this messes the
formatting up if I then insert more text earlier on. All I want is for all
of the text to align to the left of the box, as I would normally expect it to
do.

Any ideas?

Andy,
Are you using PPT 2003?
For 2003 make sure that the ruler is on (view - ruler), then drag the two
carats on the ruler to the left so that they are positioned under the first
carat, then type your text.
