Why does ny included data no longer appear in a browser?

(FP 2003) I'm building a site using an included web component of another
page. Suddenly, the included data no longer shows when I hit F12 and preview
the page in a browser. Nor does it show when I use File - Preview in Browser.
It still shows in the Preview Mode usig the screen button.

I've tried placing a new include, creating a new page, even creating a new
site, still no help.

The only thing I did was clean up the drive ( C Drive, Properties, Disk
Cleanup ) and Optimize. I've even uploaded a sample page to the server but
that didn't work either. Can I have damaged something in Front Page?

Make sure the page being included is not missing any of the basic HTML tags.

You are spot on. Somewhere in the Front Page 2000 manual I read where I was
supposed to strip away the extra page code on an included file. That caused
the problem. Replacing it fixes everything back to normal.

I've seen in the past web input fields that included a mini text editor for
input into that field and when the data was submitted, the formatting went
with it (in html I assume) (This would be found in an admin section of the
site on an editor/add page)
