Why does my word and excel program tell me that the file is not a.

I am a user of a Home office package and XP. When I try to open files on my
computer it tells me that they are not available? It does not matter whether
the file is a received one from other user or a file that I have generated my
self. Grateful for urgent assistance.

If you are using Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in. See “OFF:
