Why does my PC pause during Boot?

I don'r know if it is just me, why does my PC pause a few times during boot.
while this is not a big problem, it does annoy sometimes. The scolling
whatever you call it pauses, I mean.

Pretty much happens to everyone, caused by a driver loading/starting or some
other event that pauses the boot process. No cure except not to load
anything while booting, which would pretty much mean Windows would never
start, so ... :)
