Why does my name in brakcets appear when I edit someone elses emai

Hello: When I type replies in someone elses email, my Name appears in
brackets. I then have to delete that entry. Is there a way to disable this
feature?

Okay I found it: In case anyone is wondering here is how:
tools>options>preferences>email Options> uncheck the "Mark My Comments With"
check box.
