why does my e-mail go to unread instead of inbox folder?

New messages go to my "Unread" folder and not directly to my "inbox." If I
read an "Unread" message, it changes to "Read" and disappears until the next
day when it appears in its proper place, the "Inbox."

This is something that just began about a week ago. I've been using
Outlook for over a year without this problem.

Thanx in advance for any help.

Check your view settings to make sure All Messages is selected and then turn
off your antivirus temporarily to see if that's hiding your mail. Turn off
any antispam, too and leave that off.
