Bo't 512 stick of Kingston HyperX. It only shows as 256 meg on 2 A7N8X
mobos--one a std., the other a Deluxe. I've run it up to 194 at 1:1 ratio,
but it wants to quit there using a Barton 2500, locked multiplier.
Think I remember asking in some ng this same question--just before my
computer contracted what must be a 'new' virus--seemingly of the
"boot-type", and Norton, updated to Wed., Feb.16, let it slip past!!!
Thx for any help. sdlomi2

Try aida32 from aida32.hu

There is a chipset page, and on there, you can click on the SPD to
see what is declared in the SPD EEPROM on the DIMM.

http://aida32.hu/aida-showshot.php?shot=shot12.gif

Other than that, I would look up the memory chip part numbers and
see if they are really 32Mx8 chips or not.
