why do dismissed reminders reappear?

reminders that i dismiss keep popping up agsin esch timr i start outlook
2000. I get a whole screen full snd it is becoming very annoying - any
suggestions gratefully received

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line switch. This
switch (and a few other really helpful ones) are discussed here:

Hmmmm, it's a long shot but have you tried running ScanPST.EXE on your PST
file? Also, I think I remember way back in the mists of time that someone
used the /cleanfreebusy switch and it helped in your sort of situation.
