Why can't Outlook 2007 connect to Port 110?

I've consulted my Server team, my ISP and everyone is at a loss. I have
changed no settings in the past four months but as of 2 p.m. yesterday I
cannot connect to my incoming or outgoing POP3/SMTP. I'm running Outlook
2007 on XP off a laptop wireless connection to a home network. All
connections on the network are working fine.

I've tried to connect to the server via telnet and cannot access port 110.
Changing to port 143 doesn't help the problem either.

Any suggestions? This is seriously slowing down business for me.

Does your wireless router have an internal firewall that's blocking access
to the port?
