Why can't I see infected file in Explorer?

Hello,

I have run AVG Anti-Virus on my PC and it found the following infected file:

C:\Documents and Settings\BULL\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\CONTENT.IE5\KJZJQCXX\file8[1].zip:\crack.exe Trojan horse
Downloader.Istbar.4.AE

AVG Anti-Virus seems to only detect it and not remove/clean it.

However, even though I can manually delete all the files I see in
C:\Documents and Settings\BULL\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
using Explorer, it seems that the actual file >>>file8[1].zip:\crack.exe<<<
indicated as being infected can't be seen let alone deleted from
C:\Documents and Settings\BULL\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\

Can someone please explain this situation, and possibly a way I can get rid
of this trojan?

Cheers

There may be two reasons I can think of:
1) It is hidden and your Explorer settings are set to hide hidden files
2) It may be embedded in an e-mail message and somehow OE will not let you
delete it while you still have the infected message.

Perhaps booting in safe mode with hidden files enabled will let you delete
it manually.

Why don't you try READING the NG before writing to it, in particular the
thread called 'C:\Documents and Settings\Enduser\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\CTGLOL
"
