I receive PowerPoint 'pps' extension files and my e-mail program (Microsoft
Outlook) - Windows XP but I can't open them. Any suggestions as to how to
rectify this problem? Thanks for your consideration.

Do you actually have the Powerpoint application installed so you can
open .pps files?

If you have Powerpoint installed on your computer it is a matter of getting
the file extension associated with the application. You do this in Windows
explorer under Tools, Options, File Types tab. If you don't have Powerpoint
installed you can download the Powerpoint viewer from Microsoft. This will
allow you to view .pps files as well as full Powerpoint files.
