Whiteboard and Application Sharing in Windows Messenger 5.0

Hi,
Using Windows Messenger 5.0 with Live Communications Server 2003 (supporting
SIP Communications Service account with TCP), can we start the Whiteboard
with more than one people? or is it just 1:1? Is the Application Sharing 1:1
or a conference type of arrangement can be done?
Thanks in advance.

Greetings Deepa,

Unfortunately yes, it is just 1:1 through Messenger. However, using Netmeeting (click Start,
then Run, type "conf" and click OK) you can call direct from IP to IP (or computer name to
computer name) and have everyone connect up to the same person, then use the Whiteboard
there.

Hi there ;)

I'm assuming that the 1:1 scenario is still the case with Windows Messenger
5.1?
Also do you know if this functionality will become available in Office
Communicator 2005?

Many Thanks

Hi Pete,

Yep, same in 5.1. However, yes, in Office Comm. you can use the Whiteboard/App Sharing with
multiple users!
