White Box around Framed Websites

The other day I downloaded a ton of Critical updates for my PC using Windows
Update; some involved Internet Explorer. I noticed now that some of the
websites I view has a white box around any frame-d website.

Here is a pic of my problem:

Do you happen to see that white box around the entire area?? Now before
installing these updates this is what it looked like:

Here is another pic of my white box problem:

See the white box around "Live update #24 Tradeskill changes"

And this is what its supposed to look like:

There has to be an option to turn it off but where?? Here is the list of
websites I visited tonight to confirm that its only on a selected few
websites.

Yahoo Mail; MMORPG.com; 3DGamers.com; Vanguard; Blizzard.com; Half Life 2
Official Website; BioWare; EA Games Forums' ; EA News; Elderscrolls all these
sites did not have any white boxes

Here is the link of my homepage: http://www.larrytolman.com/Anyone.html

Here is the other two sites that did have the white box problem: RF Online
and Splintercell.com; also taken from my homepage.

So again I say this.....before I installed all those critical updates I
never had any white box around the frames, now I do; what can I do to make it
go away. I cant find it under the Advanced Options, but then again I aint no
Genius LOL

Hi,
You're seeing the "Click to activate this control" feature which was
inserted into IE6 some months ago. This is the result of a legal decision.
See: http://msmvps.com/blogs/spywaresucks/archive/2006/03/04/85409.aspx

A google search for microsoft+eolas will turn up much more information.

There was a compatibility patch available to block this action (you may have
been using that patch) but the
patch stopped working with the last round of updates from Microsoft (June
13)

Webpages can be revised by the webmaster/developer so that the extra click
isn't necessary.

Hope this helps,

Don,

Well that kinda makes sense but what can I do to disable it?? I mean again I
dont remember seeing this white box thing until I downloaded all the updates,
should I revert my hard drive back and install IE Updates more carefully
(something pertaining to applet, active x); can I disable it, or do I have to
talk to the developers of the website that I'm having trouble with?

Hi,
The extra click will be necessary until webmasters/developers change the way
the ActiveX controls are loaded. There's nothing that can be done at the
user end. So, sure, a note to the webmaster may be in order.
