Which way should I go--asp or scripts

Hi.

I am building a site that is a directory of sorts. I
want to have a search feature that searches only certain
portions of my website and give concise results. I would
also like to automate some of the sign up process at a
certain point.

I don't really have a handle on setting up a database and
seamlessly integrating it into my website to do these
things.

I have found a good search script that looks like it will
work great.

I am currently hosted on an NT server and it is slow and
today it is offline. I went for a cheap hosting company
but now I am looking for a new host because I realize I
need it to be more reliable once I am ready to really
launch.

So I am at this crossroads because I need to decide if I
am going to with FP and build a database or am I going to
use scripts in which case I can go with Unix.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi CD,

Either way you'll be using script however if you go with Unix you'll not be
able to take advantage of the intrinsic functionality that FP offers for
database
