I have:

Nvidia 7900 pci-e DDR3
ATI 1300 pci-e 512MB
ATI 9700 pci-e

Which would run Vista best? for Aero?

In *theory* the nVidia card out of those is the fastest. However their
drivers aren't very mature at this point and have a lot of issues, so if
you're buying now I'd recommend an ATI card.

Ditto there. Looking at the state that the Nvidia's beta has been, I am not
optimistic that Nvidia can get their act together in the near future
(meaning 2nd qtr).

buy an ATI card?" never again.

ATI (now bought out by AMD) has made it very clear that there is NO WAY they
will release PROPER Vista drivers for any of their so called "legacy"
products. Unfortunately, "Legacy" also includes ANY ATI product still
sitting on shelves right now at your local BestBuy, CircuitCity, etc....

I have a < 6 mos. old ATI All-InWonder 2006, no drivers for Vista - even the
ones they "claim" are Vista ready on their website don't work, so don't
bother.
AS far as the TV Tuner / FM Tuner portion of the card goes, no drivers, not
now, not ever, not no how....
My "new" ATI card just became a $200 doorstop.

....they could release updated drivers if they wanted to, they just choose
not to.
