Hi,

i need you guys help.....

i'm using Bitatek IQ3000 PDA which specficasion is
Processor : ARM720
Memory 31444KB RAM
OS : Windows CE 3.0

I have develop an application using Microsoft Embedded visual basic
3.0. My problem is i can't connect the device to my deskstop throught
Tools>Remote Tools> Configure Platform Manager.
May i know which platform should i choose?
1)Windows CE platform SDK(H/PC Pro)
2)Windows CE platform SDK(Palm PC 1.2)
3)Windows Platform SDK for Pocket PC

I have chosen Windows CE platform SDK(Palm PC 1.2).But i failed to
connect using Microsoft Embedded visual basic 3.0.But i still can
synchozise files using Microsoft ActiveSync 3.1 throught sync cable.I
have tested all the transport components(PPP Transport for Windows CE,
TCP/IP Transport for Windows CE, Windows CE Services).I received an
error msg"Unable to connect to the device Plase make sure you have
installed the underlying transport(e.g ActiveSync) and have a device
connected "

I have checked supported CPU list for Palm-size PC 2.11, is not in the
list. This CPU only supported for Windows CE platform SDK(H/PC Pro).

So,
1)What platform should i choose?
2)How to get the device connected?
3)Which transport componet should i use?
4)Can this PDA support .Net CF?

Thanks & Regards,
Choo

Hi Devin,
The SDK has nothing to do with the ability to synchronise with ActiveSync.

About your questions:
1)What platform should i choose?
I guess that you should try the SDK for PocketPC 2000, if it doesn't work,
try the one for PocketPC 2002
2)How to get the device connected?
In eVB, choose PocketPC and not the emulator as destination and run or debug
it.
3)Which transport componet should i use?
I leave it as default
4)Can this PDA support .Net CF?
If it is PocketPC2002, yes.

Hi ,

i have tried Pocket PC emulator.I can connect using platform connection
manager. But when i start debug. i received an error"The targeted
platform does not match the device currently connected to your
system.Pls verify that the proper device is attached."

Any solution?

Devin,

Some CE 3.0 devices are PocketPC, some are PocketPC2002, and some are neither.
Only CE 3.0 devices that are also PocketPC or PocketPC2002 are supported by the
compact framework.

Exactly, I was forgetting the CE 3.0 Casio devices!
