Which One

I was wondering if someone out there can give me a little advise please. I
have a HP815c at the moment but as you probably can understand here in
Britain cartridges range from 15-26 Pound and I am thinking of replacing the
printer with an Epson due to the fact that you can get compatibles a lot
cheaper around 3-4 pound, my problem is which one. I am currently looking
at the Epson C44 or C64 but not sure which will do my needs.

I know the Epson C64 has 4 cartridges compared to C44 that just has a black
and tri colour but would the C64 cartridges last a bit longer. So which one
I ask, not greatly bothered about photo quality but I have known to print a
few pictures out and not bothered about time i.e. so many pages per minute
because I never rush to do things.

What do you lot out there think anyone got theses printers and give me some
advise. Also price is an issue I only have around 60-70 pound to spend not
mega bucks and reliability and noise factor would be an issue, don't want a
noisy printer

Dave, the JetTec C64/C84 compatible cartridges are just becomming available
with C/M/Y black and high capacity black. There's your savings with UK
acknowledged quality control.
It's possible I'm biased as I sell JetTec but the printer is quite good...

What's the ref. number for C64 high capacity black?
It's not listed on the January 2004 90 page price list that Epson sends to UK
retailers.
The T0431 is listed for the C84 only.

Persnoally, I'd go for the separate colour carts, that way you won't
be throwing out the other colours when one gets low.
