which DC am i logged into?

Is there a way to determine which domain controller authenticated me, and
processed the GPOs, from the client machine? In the past we've noticed
latency issues with bootups and logins, and it turned out machines were
talking to remote DCs. In win2k, the login script's dos window displays the
dc where the login script is located, but xp doesn't.

thank you,

or from a command prompt run set.

There is a variable called LOGONSERVER that points to the authenticating DC.
