Which certificate error?

I got a website blocked with the message in my browser "To help protect your
security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content
with security certificate errors. Click here for options.

When I click, my choices are to allow the website to open, see more
information, or see "what's the risk?" Nowhere do I see a place to find out
which error caused the blockage. Can I see the specific error somewhere?
The "more information" has a table of different errors.

Also, I'm running XP pro, SP 2, and my husband is running XP home ed, SP 3,
but he didn't get his blocking. What should I do so his computer recognizes
certificate errors?

Assuming you're running IE7 or IE8:

Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com | Select CUSTOM and scan | Install
any Critical Security Updates offered (i.e., KB960897). If a Root
Certificates update is listed in the Optional Updates category, install it
to take full advantage of IE's enhanced security.

NB: If IE8 is not installed already, do NOT install it via Windows Update!
Uncheck it then "hide" it for now, please.

Yes, IE 7. Which problem does this address? My inability to see the type
of certificate error, or the lack of a certificate error altogether?

In most cases, installing the current Root Certificates update will
eliminate the certificate errors you've been receiving.

NB: Root Certificates updates are released every 2-3 months but are NOT
offered to WinXP machines via Automatic Updates so you'll have to check for
such updates manually from time to time.

Oh, wow. I'm glad you added that second paragraph. I was preparing to try
to figure out why I wasn't getting these via automatic update. How come
they don't do that, I wonder.
