Hi Quickhot,

Trojans are virus. Windows Defender detect spyware.

Submit the file at one or more of the following sites:

http://www.virustotal.com

http://virusscan.jotti.org

Each has a browse window in the upper right to do the submission, and will
check out your file with 10 or so antivirus vendors with one submission.

Send a suspicious file for analyze to VirusTotal
They will scan it for malware with almost all antivirus softwares with the
latest definitions and then will send you the report.
The service is FREE .
If something is suspicious they will send the file to all antivirus
companies so that
they will establish signatures for disinfecting the malware.

Go to Jotti's site
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
In the file to upload area press Browse then follow the path to the exe file :
Then press Submit and copy and paste the results to notepad and save them so
you can post back the results if needed.

Run Ewido :

http://www.ewido.net/en/

Install ewido.
During the installation, under "Additional Options"
uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via
context menu".
Launch ewido
On the left side of the main screen click update
Click on Start and let it update.
Then Run a Complete System Scan
Some Antivirus scanners cannot remove infections because you are online and
they are running on the system when you perform the scªn.

In safe mode.
Now scan with Ewido. Click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then
click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run.

Once its started scanning it will display an alert window when it finds any
infected files, when you see this first alert check the boxes "Perform action
with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on ok

When the scan finishes, If ewido finds anything in the scan click on "Save
Report". This will create a text file. Save to desktop or c:drive incase you
need to post it back.

( Its shows its a 14 day trial but it performs fine after that expires, you
will
just need to update the scanner manually as the auto updates are part of the
trial)

Go for scans in safe mode and also add Ewido and Ccleaner www.ccleaner.com
as Ewido performs great with Trojans and Ccleaner will clear your temp
folders where alot of malware hides installers.

I hope this post is helpful, let us know how it works ºut.
