I had a system crash and had to reload windows.
I have a backup of the programs loaded ie: Outlook.
When I launch Outlook the contacts is empty.

Where would I look on my Bac-Up drive for the old contacts
and haow can I get them back into Outlook?

Thanks, Bill

What operating system are you running?

Your contacts are located in your Outlook data file, called a PST. It's the
same file that holds all your emails. The default name of the file is
outlook.pst. Your archived emails are located in the archive.pst. Unless the
PSTs were renamed of course.

Here's some good, basic info about the PST file:

Here's some excellent advice on how to back up and restore your PST file:

The entire website is superb and will answer everyone's basic Outlook
questions and help them troubleshoot. It's well worth bookmarking.

Please post back if you need any clarification at all or have further
questions.
