In 2003 and earlier, shift+file would show save all and close all in the menu
rather than save and close. Where did this feature go?

You have to add them to the Quick Access Toolbar through the Customize
dialog. They're both in the category "Commands Not In the Ribbon".

In Word 2007, you can add icons for Save All and Close All to the Quick
Access Toolbar.

You are welcome.

As far as Word Help is concerned, I think it is a lot less helpful in Word
2007 than it used to be in Word 2003. More specifically, when you search for
something you get a large number of more or less irrelevant matches.
