Where is my task bar?!!!!!

Just bought & installed a new computer with XP. {My old
computer also had XP & the display for it was fine).
Anyway, I have a large monitor, & the task bar is not
visible on the screen, therefore I cannot load a program
or even shut the computer off. I went into display &
changed the pixels, making the icons smaller, but that
didn't give me a task bar. Can anyone help???? Please????

you may have accidentally hidden the task bar, try hovering you mouse at the
bottom of the screen left click and then drag up., if that don't work try on
the sides and the top too, as it may have been moved accidentally. if that
don't work to start an application just press the windows key and the start
menu will appear
