Usung XP/SP2 and Microsoft Plus! for XP
(NOT Media Edition)......I set my screen
saver long ago to be a slide show. What shows in the
window when I go Control Panel>>Display>>Screen Saver
is Plus! My Pictures ......

I want to change the pictures in the slide show.....
Can you lead me to where that file is? Thanks

Right click the Desktop | Properties | Screen Saver tab |
Settings button | Browse button | Browse to whatever folder you want to use
for the slide show

Hi Wesley,
Right click the Desktop | Properties | Screen Saver tab |
Settings button | Browse button | Browse to whatever folder you want to
use
for the slide show

I tried that on my XP-Pro-2002-SP2 system logged on as a member of
Administrators. I got the rebuff from the Settings buffer: "The screen
saver has no options you can set."

I do have some Power options set, e.g. Hibernate. Could they be interfering
with Screen Saver features?

Regards,
Richard

For some reason that just popped into my head when I read the post.

I can't help it, I grew up as a TV kid.

Yes, Pall Malls! I couldn't think of the name. :) My Uncle's hired hand
used to smoke Pall Malls.

Did you have your screensaver set to "My Pictures Slideshow" before clicking
on the settings button? Some screensavers have no optional settings, ie:
blank screensaver.

Hi Wesley,
Did you have your screensaver set to "My Pictures Slideshow" ...

No. Like an idiot, I had it set to "WindowsXP," so it's no wonder that
it didn't have any settings to modify! I never heard of the Slideshow, but
now that you pointed it out to me, I saw it. Of course, I have no
pictures set up to be displayed, but I'll be able to do it in good time.

Thanks a lot for clearing that up for me.

Best wishes,
Richard
