Where in the registry are display settings?

Hi all.

The display settings I am specifically looking for are the ones you
access through the gui by going to my computer properties, advanced tab,
click on settings button under performance, and tick adjust for best
performance, and also the no wall paper setting.

Also, where are the taskbar and start menu registry settings? Thanks in
advance for all help! :)

What is your exact problem?
You can't get to these setting the noraml way, like you describe?
They're more than likely encoded values which you can't interpret.

Hi Dixonian69 and thanks for your reply. I don't have a problem
exactly, what I'm hoping to do is to write a script to export those
settings from the registry, and import them on another machine. In
order to do this, I don't need to be able to interpret the registry
settings for this, I just need to know where to export them from in the
registry.

My exact problem is that I don't know where in the registry these
settings are. Since I am needing to export hte registry settings,
getting to them the normal way is not helpful and I don't need to be
able to unencode them.

Do you think it is helpful to question people about the questions they
post in here? I don't.
