where has my anti virus gone

i had problems with pc,and had to restore the computer and start from
scratch,but norton anti virus has not installed this time.it usually installs
automatically,please help,on how to get it back,or do i have start from
scratch again

If you're talking about the Restore CD provided by OEM PC manufacturers such
as Dell/Compaq etc, you need to contact them. NAV is a separate software,
and does not ship with Windows XP.

FYI: Some Compaq PCs will load the Setup files for Norton Antivirus package,
when you do a Full Restore, and the user need to invoke the installer
manually from a Desktop icon.

Have you looked through the CDs that came with your PC? There could be one
for Norton in amongst those.

thanks,there is no cd,i had to manually do this when i reinstalled the
mashine,is there another way so i i don`t have reinstall machine?
